My toiletries are even more slimmed down. I bought little plastic jars that are designed for cosmetic samples. They weigh nothing and take up a tiny amount of space. I put in my face moisturizer, tinted sunscreen, and rouge in them. The rouge gets put in the tiny version. If I go on a trip longer than a week, I'll put in a couple extra. Granted, I wear the minimum of makeup. I keep travel size of deodorant, toothpaste and a refillable spray bottle leave-in hair moisturizer. Before I pack, I evaluate if the place I'm going to will have acceptable shampoo to decide if I'll take my own. If I'm going to stay at someone's home or a nice-ish hotel, I don't take shampoo. If I'm going overseas or on a couch tour, I take my own shampoo. It will be in a travel size container. I definitely re-wear my shirts and trousers. The exception is if I've been out in hot weather and clothing gets wet sweaty or smelly. So, I now plan ahead for that, so I don't have to pay for laundry or buy something new. It's a challenge for me to pack the minimum, but not too little that I feel uncomfortable. In any case, I do enjoy hearing other people's tips. I usually get one that is helpful.
