  Modern society is poison for the soul. I&apos;m 27 now, within 10 years I want to be living off the land as much as possible. This whole game feels so unnatural and unsustainable, I&apos;m done playing.

  These data centers are BS. Im fairly close to the Meta ( Facebook)data center in Prineville Oregon. I did some site work there when they were expanding. &nbsp;The contractor superintendent pulled me aside and said &quot; you think this is Facebook, it&apos;s not its NSA. He showed me the contract documents and yes it was NSA. That data center ruined the liveability of that rual community. &nbsp;It consumes an enormous amount of power and water to cool the processors. &nbsp;We don&apos;t need this BS. It and all these data centers are not built to benefit the people but manage us like slaves and farm animals. &nbsp;Enough &nbsp;!

  I have been on my raw land for 2.5 weeks and although there is much to be done, and I will need to continue to work remotely for a while, I am setting myself up for fewer expenses, more peace and quiet, and an early retirement. It’s so close I can taste it!!

  Stuck in morning traffic this morning, I took time to scan the faces of the people driving around me... left, right and behind me during a prolonged stop and go... Everyone looked completely exhausted, deeply sad (almost hollow), defeated and simply on human autopilot... As I got coffee at the gas station the blue collar folks seemed like they were just barely holding on... I believe the current economy and society has become a soul crushing pressure cooker. I believe there are healthy alternatives and more people will start exploring these options.

  I walked off my job after 12 years. I would cry on my drive in. Force myself not to leave early every day. Worked about 50 hours a week and still couldn&apos;t pay the bills. I mean I didnt even have internet. I left and didnt know what I was going to do but I knew if I stayed I would check out early... I just couldn&apos;t shake the constant feeling of how this couldn&apos;t be all there is to life. Work, pay bills(maybe), repeat.. ugh horrible

  Having shelter and power paid in full, needing minimal expenses for water and food, makes more sense to me than having a large income and needing to pay rent/mortgage, electric, water bill, and a large food bill.
