  I do think sometimes as people we need to be careful what we say to others especially to strangers. Although the intention was harmless telling someone to cheer up is implying they look miserable. It may just be their face and if they get told that a lot it could be why she snapped, especially if she can’t change how she looks. Maybe asking if they’re okay would’ve been better as it isn’t dismissive to what they may or may not be going through
