  Story time. I fell 40ft and broke my back in 2010, I was unable to move or communicate for 2 weeks. After surgery relieved pressure on my spinal cord I was able to move from my arms up, 2 weeks later I could move my toes, 2 weeks later I could sit up but I had to learn how to walk again. They say usually people lose the ability to speak and have to relearn everything it for the 2 weeks after my accident I was fully aware, sitting in the dark, I couldn’t feel my body but I could hear them talking about it, them wondering if I was there inside my broken body and me laying there unable to move, speak, blink. I imagined myself hiking, climbing, biking, the things that got me in this mess, I envisioned myself sitting and meditating in a spirit hut, sang my favorite songs. Nothing hurt, I wasn’t hungry. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp;My wife was there, fighting for me, and when she would have to go my mom or dad would sit with me, I remember my mom coming in and my wife saying “mom, I know he can hear us, I know he’s right there” she was right, and my mom believed her. I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. After I healed, the swelling went down and the surgery relieved pressure on my spinal cord which somehow was not damaged I told my Dr. about being aware. I was told she addressed the staff and requested a change in procedure to ensure other seemingly unaware patients do not have discussions about their condition in their presence but also that they are told how they are progressing in case they can understand.

  The bed bug book problem could be overcome with heat exposure. Bed bugs die at 113f, paper doesn&apos;t burn until over 400f. A well controlled heat box in the 150-200 temp range could be used to cleanse books of bed bugs with minimal risks of damage.<br><br>For old or valuable books that you don&apos;t want to risk, air tight zip lock bags sealed for four months, they will die without food in about 3 months.

  The IT department of any work place or college/Uni can read every single email you send and receive, they can see every single website you go to, they can log onto your computer from their office and watch everything you do without you knowing, same with phone calls.

  I&apos;m mechanic. &nbsp;About half the vehicles on the road are mechanically unsafe. &nbsp;Many have faulty or worn out brakes, bad steering, bad suspension or tires on the verge of failure. &nbsp;That 8,000 pound pick up behind you? &nbsp;It&apos;s probably stopping by the grace of god.

  There is an old saying that people often die in pairs in industrial accidents. The first person falls unconscious from bad air (for example during tank cleaning), then the second person dies from the natural reaction to try and save the first person. &nbsp;Also, don’t go swimming in an aeration pond. &nbsp;You are heavier than the water and will sink to the bottom.

  My mother works in a school library. Her division doesnt even allow her to put blocks on certain kids who steal/ruin books. They also dont have to pay for the ruined books to be replaced.

  Story 4: &nbsp;I would LOVE to support assisted end of life...except for the fact that the moment that can of worms is opened, its only a matter of time until that&apos;s the &apos;only&apos; form of medical care available to the non-rich. &nbsp;Insurance companies and governments have prices on life down to the cent, and it&apos;s cheaper to replace people than it is to heal them.

  Story 11? My sleep apnea is serious enough that my body makes extra blood cells to try to have enough oxygen to protect my brain during apneas. Is it a problem? Yes. Am I seeing a sleep specialist about it? Nope. There&apos;s a handful of doctors I should be seeing but am just not able to. Just keeping my chronically ill self, and my chronically ill father with Parkinsons alive and fed is my job, and there&apos;s never enough good days to even see all of the doctors we should, and family thinks we&apos;re just lazy. Ah, family. Nobody resents you quite as much as family!

  Regarding the arc flash &quot;from biology to physics&quot; scenario: It&apos;s not so much &quot;falls over dead&quot; but moreso is thrown back several feet by the explosion and every bit of clothing and every body part that was in the blast radius is now on fire.
