  A friend here in the states imported one in &apos;22, cost about $23,000 delivered. Had only 70,000 kilometers on it. It is in immaculate condition. We crawled all over it at the shop i used to run and found practically zero wear on any of the normal &quot;wear&quot; items.<br><br>Positively sublime to drive on long highway trips. Gets about 26mpg at 75mph.

  Don&apos;t ever listen to motoring journalists, Toyotas are boring, anonymous, .... whatever. &nbsp;I&apos;ve driven Toyotas almost all my life, they are astonishing reliable if you treat them well and do regular maintenance, they have the right level of functions and everything works as expected even after many years. &nbsp;My previous car was a Lexus, and I bought another Lexus last year. &nbsp;It is not about being flashy, but reliable and smooth.

  Aaaahh, Toyota at it&apos;s finest. I love the brand, have owned dozens of them. From 4x4 and 2wd utes, petrol and diesel. Crowns, coronas, corollas, camrys, vans, motor homes. Yep, the best car company in the world. Well done to get to drive their sublime gem. Your Kiwi fan, Bryce 🙂

  I saw one in Tokyo. It looked resplendent. These do look better in person. Not flashy at all.. but 100% refined and elegant. &nbsp;Clearly a very well-made car

  I don&apos;t know if it&apos;s true but a japanese friend told me that Toyota wouldn&apos;t sell the Century just to anybody, having the money was not enough, you had to be important or hold an important position in society. Also, a funny thing is that (i think) it doesn&apos;t say Toyota anywhere in the body, only Century. I see one regularly and it is absolutely beautiful, so much understated luxury, very very japanese.

  I was visiting the Japanese subsidiary of our French based company in Tokyo. For my return trip to the airport (Narita), the assistant booked the CEO&apos;s driver to take me in his Toyota Century. Remarkably smooth ride.

  i am from New Zealand and i have a 1975 Toyota Crown MS85. I have owned this car for over forty years now and i have kept it in as new condition. It is not the same as the Century but in its own right it is a very comfortable and capable car. This car has only traveled 155,000 KM from new and is totaly original .
