I was unaware that Jack Lemon was an alcoholic. He's still in my top 10 actors of all time. Just wish he had experienced an easier time of it and let us enjoy his amazing talent for longer. RIP Jack.

Judy Garland was treated like property by the studio when she was just a child. The studio would hop her up on drugs to give her energy, then give her drugs to sleep. One of her child actor friends testified about one Thanksgiving when they appeared in the Thanksgiving Day parade. Afterwards, they were treated to a nice Thanksgiving dinner. All of the kid actors were seated at a table and given a big plate of food. But, before Judy could take a bite, someone came around and took her plate away. This friend said she was so hungry, she would grab handfuls of holiday candy and eat all of it. So, it's no wonder she became dependent on alcohol and drugs.
