I had thousands of dollars in cashmere destroyed in a clothing chest one year. And my vintage Halston coat. Absolutely horrible 😞 It was 17 years ago and I still get upset thinking about it!

I'm a hobby tailor here in Texas where all bugs are a horrible problem. I have ALL of my wool and cashmere garments and future garments (AKA fabric) stored in multiple freezers in the sewing rooms. When I'm wear them I take them out in the morning, press them and go to work. In the evening they go back in the freezer! When I'm constructing a garment it doesn't sit out over night, it gets bagged and slipped into the freezer. Some call me paranoid, but that fab Scabal cashmere is safe with me.

All my knitwear goes in vacuum sealed plastic bags. As a knitter I found out the hard way and I was devastated to see holes in my sweaters that I had spent so much time and money on. The bags are the only thing that seems to be effective for me.
