  I was a teenager in Australia in the 80&apos;s. &nbsp;We didn&apos;t have much money. &nbsp;I used lemon juice on my hair and sat outside to get blonde streaks and used sugar water instead of hair gel.

  When I was growing up in Europe we used laundry soap as shampoo, rinsed and &nbsp;followed it by diluted vinegar and then rinsed out with water. <br> Not trying to brag but my hair was always healthy &nbsp;looking and shiny. <br> Diet is always very important for healthy hair.

  Growing up I always rinsed my long dark hair in malt vinegar / it’s why I think that my hair today is my crowning glory - I’m 70 years old.

  My mom washed my hair with egg shampoo. Rag rolled hair made beautiful corkscrew curls. Vinegar or beer rinse worked wonders for shine. I have ratted my hair for bouffant hair. I have ironed a friend’s hair, mine was naturally straight. Bobby pins were great for pin curls. Lemon juice sprayed on your hair and sunshine were a good lightener. I’m 66 now, and I still use castor oil, vinegar, and other tips for my hair care. ❤

  I&apos;m sitting here with so many memories. 70 here. My mom washed our hair with eggs and pin curled my hair. I&apos;ve used almost every idea here even ironed my hair when I was a teenager. Those were the good ole day&apos;s.

  Birth year, 1955. I remember everyone of these growing up! And likewise used them all! Anyone remember Sun In? So much fun in the 60s and 70s. I think everyone was doing it! I bet if they advertised now like they did then the last 30 years, it would be selling off the shelves from all the guys using it too!
