  Grab, Exactly!!!!! I didn't think you'd add that note. I had just landed at Da Nang and was walking to the Grab area.  A guy saw me looking at my phone thinking I was looking for my drive. The thing was, I hadn't booked a ride yet lol. He tells me, " Grab, come". I asked, "Are you my driver?" He says,  " Yes.", I asked him what is my name and he says,  " Where you go?" 😂 He tried to scam me but failed. Be careful because this happens constantly.

  Always book your taxi to your hotel before you arrive, saves you the hassle of getting scammed. Most good hotels have free shuttle to and from hotel

  I took a gamble and took the 152 bus from the airport to Bui Vien. It was comfortable with a single carry-on, and only 5000 Dong. I like how buses give me a chance to slowly absorb the look of a new city.

  I arrived in Hanoi two weeks ago. They took one look at my passport, stamped it, and I was free to go. They didn't care to look at my 3-month e-visa or my pre-arrival form. They never questioned me either. The only hassle was the SIM card ladies and the Grab taxi drivers.

  My wife and I travelled to Vietnam several times when we were living in Thailand. We always flew into Danang as we found that to be the easiest option.<br>As far as getting Vietnamese dong we would take high denomination US$ currency with us and exchange them for dong at the gold shops in Danang. They gave a higher rate for $100 and $50 notes and were usually located one street back from the river in Danang.

  Several weeks ago I flew into Ho Chi Minh. So as I got outside the scam started. Multiple lies to try to mislead me. They kept insisting as well that Grab was not available at the airport even though there are signs advertising Grab. Their lowest price to my accommodation was 450,000 Dong. Hailed a Grab and outside the main terminal exit walk across the first road to the smaller second road. This is where your grab will arrive, as did mine. Cost was 120,000 Dong

  Went to Danang May 2026, no issues going thru immigration, showed passport, showed e travel visa, no issues, didn&apos;t ask to see medications, didn&apos;t ask to see onward ticket, didn&apos;t ask to see where staying, my turn came, got stamped, smile enjoy Vietnam, once thru just get out of area and smile,
