  I&apos;ve &nbsp;successfully passed through Japanese Immigration at Fukuoka, Kansai, Haneda, Narita, Chitose Sapporo , and Naha Airports 37 times ( and counting ).<br> &nbsp; &nbsp; I just keep a blank, expressionless face and answer questions in a robotic monotone. No smiles , jokes or any display of emotion. It&apos;s guaranteed to work, trust me.

  I also need to make it clear to those working at border crossing and customs that you should respect passengers and never give us unfriendly looks or ask unfriendly questions .We are not criminals ! That’s very rude, not nice at all. Go to Japan or Taiwan to learn how to treat passengers.

  30 yrs ago my work took me to New York for 1 day. At Passport control the official asked, “where are you staying?” I said I was only there for 1 day and showed him my return ticket that same day just before midnight. He didn’t believe me and said he’s putting me on the next flight back to the U.K. (which he did). But I held the cargo &nbsp;manifest for the flight which I had arrived on. That was my job. In those days cargo had to be accompanied by a courier who had the manifest. Only later did they send a posse of people to talk to me and beg me for the manifest so that they could clear the cargo. It’s expensive when planes can’t turn around. Being decent human I gave it to them as i didn’t want to cause my boss trouble but i didn’t have to as you are not suppose to hand it over when ‘air-side’. &nbsp;Never did see New York. No desire to do so now.

  I will never forget a big mistake I made in 1999 it was my 50th birthday and my husband present to me was a trip to Nashville country music &nbsp;festival . I was so excited. <br>So after we landed from South Africa and had to go trough to the passport officer&apos;s window I had to look into a camera and she had my passport in her hand looking at the computer screen. ( I have to tell you my husband and myself are always making jokes with complete strangers thats just how we are so this in mind) I leaned forward and asked her &quot;So am I wanted?&quot; She looked up from the computer and in a stern voice she said &quot;I&apos;m still looking&quot; I must have gone pale or something because she looked me straight in the eyes while saying it then she smiled and said &quot;got you&quot; thank goodness it was a friendly officer.

  I’m Swedish, have travelled in 55 countries and lived in 19 over the past 45 years. I have never been questioned, or had my luggage searched. Ever.

  パスポートコントロールはいつも緊張するけどHelsinki には　にっこりして日本語で挨拶してくれる優しい係の人がたまにいて嬉しくなる。
