14:29 my mother was like 6 in this earthquake, she became paranoid and depressed. She was getting ready for school and my grandma quit literally took her on her underwear out to the streets. She saw with her very eyes entire buildings crunch “like a sandwich”. Even till this day she still feels chills when retelling it

In the Tornado 🌪 section.
It never fails that Reed Timmer the Screamer is always Shouting and Screaming unnecessarily.

Finally! A smart human! “No we don’t need to look at it we need to take shelter”

The thought of being trapped under rubble from a collapsed building, like those shown, is just chilling. Dust everywhere, not being able to breathe, pinned down, darkness, you can't go to a bathroom, a drink of water, the mental toll... that's a really frightening thought and I bet there's other things I haven't even thought of!

This was my first experience of seeing a natural disaster of such scale..The Express way collapse has stayed with me for nearly 40 years and I was only watching it unfold on the news here in England..I can remember stories of heroism people climbing into small gaps to try and perform rescues even when they new there was danger of it collapsing on them..😢❤🙏

Moments like these remind us to respect and prepare for nature’s unpredictability.

I was at the Cypress during the rescue effort. Not something I will ever forget or want to have to go through again.

I live in Santa Monica California (Los Angeles County) used to live in San Francisco. My house is new and built to current earthquake codes for California and the office I work in has been retrofitted to current California earthquake codes. I have a storm shelter with a month’s worth of food and supplies in the case of an actual earthquake emergency.

I forgot to add the biggest earthquake I was in: Loma Prieta in San Francisco October 17th 1989. I was at the A’s-Giants World Series game! 15 seconds of pure adrenaline and fear!

What stands out to me is how consistent the quality is. It’s not just one or two good clips, the entire video keeps you interested the whole time.

The power of these disasters is beyond words. Let's advocate for sustainable practices and invest in disaster prevention to mitigate the devastation caused. 🌱

My parents lived through the big quake in San Francisco, my sister and I were both born there.... and I can't imagine based off of what they've told me. My mom said she remembers the ground rolling in waves, all of the fires and destruction, everything down for days in a time before cell phones....it was like the apocalpyse. Live in Dixie Alley now, with an underground shelter. Many states even have grants/rebate programs for those looking to put shelters in. I'll take the tornadoes. Earthquakes terrify me.
