  As a man, and most men cant attest to this, we get very little love, affection and attention from women. Most of us walk around as if we dont exist. No wonder we craze to be seen and emotionally nourished when we are with a woman who genuinely wants to be with us.

  “Men are not designed to be a caretaker.”<br><br>When my mom was diagnosed with dementia, my two sister’s did not help me with our mom’s caregiving needs. Never. <br><br>I did everything for our mom’s health care. Showering, changing her depends, cooking her breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cleaning her house, wash her clothes and linens. Take her to her doctors appointments and to church on Sundays. Picked up her groceries etc. <br><br>My two sister’s did absolutely nothing to assist me. Instead, one of them made our mom sign a home equity loan thirty days after our mom was diagnosed with dementia. Bank documents signed behind my back, when I was our mom’s POA. <br><br>I took care of my mom twenty hours per day, seven days a week for two and a half years. During the tail end of caring for my mom, sister stole 300k from our mom. Thereafter, hired a probate attorney. Her intention to go this far was to paint me as the devil’s twin. <br><br>What an effing nightmare. After eight probate court appearances, I, without an attorney, representing myself, fought for our mom’s rights. <br><br>Sister, wanted our mom in a memory care center, with the intention to take ownership of our mom’s houses. <br><br>As the probate court proceedings continued, I had to drop out because I didn’t have the 20k bond necessary to proceed. <br><br>And to add icing on the cake, my sister wrapped the refrigerator in our mom’s house with a big ass chain. Who in their right mind does something like this….a woman. <br>One that was and still is, not designed to be a caretaker. <br><br>When it came to my ex wife, she didn’t have to work because I was doing quite well, financially. I would have done the same for her, as I did for my mom, had she been in the same predicament.

  She said... &quot;men leave when times get tough&quot; The truth is most of us don’t. We stay until it becomes impossible. We leave when we’re pushed out, shut down, or no longer allowed to show up the way we want to. Let’s be real, it’s not about the struggle, it’s about being made to feel like we’re not welcome in it.

  My hubby stuck around when I was ill for over a decade. Married 30 years now. My husband is a not easy, not perfect but a true gem.
