There's a documentary on HBO max called Class Action Park that has interviews with people that worked there. More info on the attractions ideas and how they came to be. All the bad things as well with interviews from some family members of a couple of the victims. And also from guests of the chaos! It's very good! You should find it!

Defunctland is cool. He makes videos about theme parks that are shut down, but also shows that are cancelled and recalled products. I remember liking his documentaries about Jim Henson's muppets and other shows.

it was a libertarians dream, they had so many disclaimers on the gates that nobody could get off a successful lawsuit, and the regulatory groups either didn't have the teeth or pull to shut them down.

Fun fact- after several concussions on the Cannonball Loop, a foam pad was installed in the slide.

However, after it was installed, guests started emerging with cuts and abrasions on their bodies.

After an inspection, it was discovered that guests were being injured by human teeth that had been embedded in the foam pad from people hitting their faces with enough force to knock their teeth out.

I went to this place every year as a kid. Accident park we called it and yes I've seen people get messed up. The mountain luge was just one aspect. How about when you can jump off a 30 foot cliff into a 20 foot pool of water? Because that was an attraction. Or how about driving large metal gas powered tanks in the hot sun? Where you shot tennis balls at each other with launchers? The place was a lot of fun, but you best be careful or else. One time I saw the aftermath of someone who fell off the luge. They are cuts and bleeding all over their bodies. Action park didn't mess around, but I still loved it.
