The worst part of the Cannonball Loop is that people would come out cut up and bloody, and when they investigated why they found TEETH embedded in the padding on the loop from previous riders

The “employee” that died on the alpine slide wasn’t even an employee he had worked there one summer previously but hadn’t for awhile at that point. The park owner claimed he was to get out of having a bigger law suit from the family, who could only listen as they told lies about there son.

Some employees conformed in documentaries that they did indeed get paid 100 dollars to test the loop slide. Reportedly some of these teens came out the other end with scratches and gashes all over them, and they later found it was because some teens had lost there teeth and those teeth got stuck in the padding of the slide. The teeth were cutting other teens as they rode it.

That 'can you survive' mentality lasted through the early 2000s too, at least where i was from. Safety wasnt a common thought.

Fun fact! The weird ass decapislide was drawn up by the owner of the park on a cocktail napkin, which was the final blueprint for that hellish abomination of death!

My dad took me on one of those alpine slides when I was a toddler, some kid got his finger cut off on the cart in front of us and it went under ours, I had forgot about that untill I saw those slides (I wasn't traumatised or anything I didn't even understand what had happened but that kid likely was)

Action park sounds fun on paper
And could be a lot of fun in practice
But the only regulation that seemed to be there was "try not to die"
