  I have ankylosing spondylitis. It is a form of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Fortunately, I don't have a severe case, so I am still able to move around and work.

  In my first year of nursing myself and a couple of other students kidnapped our skeleton and took it for a car ride. Thankfully, the dean took it easy on us and allow us to finish the next three years, but the skeleton was never left out unattended again.

  A friend of mine, a Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka, had a preserved human skeleton set up in the monastery for the purpose of meditating on human mortality and the impermanence of the body. A visitor to the monastery saw the skeleton and became terrified. The monk calmly asked &quot;Why should you be frightened of this skeleton but not the one inside you?&quot; Apparently the visitor then calmed down and felt a bit silly about the situation.
