  I started an Epic Doom Metal band project called 7th Dispensation inspired by Candlemass and Angel of Damnation. I incorporate lyrics inspired by Mormon magic origins an early Mormon history.

  Hi Dr. Park, even the title: the Fourth Wife sounds a bit scary. However, there is MUCH that can be done with the LDS in horror. The thing that I find most scary part is the constant smile on everyone&apos;s face. You don&apos;t see that in other religious groups. You might ask yourself: why are these people smiling so much? Why are they so happy? Is there some superfluity of naughtiness running amok here? It would be like Sir Galahad the chaste (from Monty Python fame) getting stuck in Castle Anthrax with eightscore nubile young women no older than nineteen and one half years old for 24 hours, and all of them looking like super models. Of course, somebody like a bishop would have to rescue Sir Galahad the Chaste from this imbroglio. It be very difficult because the male instinct is to protect ladies from being defenseless against ravenous wolves attacking their chastity, but also be wary of being overcome by the beauty of the women and becoming a ravenous wolf himself. So you see, there is lots of room for inventive storylines. 🙂

  Of my 16 great great-great-grandparents &nbsp;14 of them were in polygamous marriages. &nbsp;Some were forced to participate and take other wives, others felt that it was a deviné doctrine that were honored to participate in. &nbsp;Some of the woman hated their husbands taking other wives, &nbsp;others were happy for the extra help and chose the next wife for him. Some of my grandmother&apos;s were spinster in the view of the community they lived in and might not have had the opportunity to marry and have children. Others were sisters of the first wife and chose the devil you know vs. the devil you don&apos;t know. &nbsp;I hate that the practice is condemned so broadly both then and today. There was certainly great misery in some aspects of it but it wasn&apos;t all bad.

  I am reluctant to comment, but some of mission activities the church engaged in during the 19th century would be defined as trafficking in persons now. &nbsp;That’s horror as well, albeit not Gothic.
