  Aule could be an interesting dedicated episode. He has a checkered history:<br><br>* Trained Sauron/Mairon. Oops.<br>* Trained Saruman. Oops.<br>* Taught Feanor and the Noldor weaponscraft, which he explicitly regretted. Oops.<br>* Overstepped his authority by the creation of the dwarves. Got away with that one, barely.<br>* Dismissive of his wife&apos;s concerns over conflict between the dwarves and nature. Sleeping on the couch tonight...<br><br>Definitely in need of a reminder about boundaries and judgement.

  Symbolically I would put ring of Barahir at the top. The only ring with absolutely no “power”. But it represented so much more. Of all the rings by far the oldest. Of all the rings the only that would endure in this world forever.

  Only nineteen of the Great Rings were made in Eregion. The Ruling Ring was made in Mordor.

  This again perpetuates the misconception that any of the rings of power, greater or lesser, were created FOR anyone except Elves. &nbsp;Sauron repurposed all those he could recover after his creation of the ruling ring made the Elves despise all but the Three. &nbsp;<br><br>It&apos;s also implied that invisibility was a &quot;power&quot; bestowed by the rings of power, but that effect only applied to men and hobbits...and possibly dwarves, though I&apos;ve never seen that specified. &nbsp;Eves and Maiar wearing the rings of power did not become invisible - they ALREADY existed halfway in the realm of fea. &nbsp;<br><br>Ultimately the rings of power were no more and no less than a means of counteracting the effect of the greatest ring of all: Morgoth&apos;s ring: Arda Marred. &nbsp;When used by anyone but an Elf, it&apos;s no wonder weird side-effects would happen.
