  The fact that Mick, after everything, still offered to make an OST says everything I need to know about his dedication to his craft and the series. Truly an icon.

  I mean, Mick Gordon is a guy who sampled a chainsaw and a kangling in his ost, and even decided to learn Mongolian throat chanting in a Mongolian monastery so he could sing for another of his pieces. Did they think he was the kind of guy who would back down?

  Unbelievable that Marty felt <i>entitled</i> to destroy a skilled freelancer’s professional reputation, when freelancers depend <i>utterly</i> on that reputation for their income.

  As a side note, Mick is one of the kindest and most humble dudes to ever be a part of the industry. I recently sent him an email and he responded pretty quickly, thanking me for taking time to message him and assures me that this experience with DOOM Eternal was a complete outlier and he does not want it to taint the image of Video Game composition as a whole. As a music production student, Mick is a huge inspiration to me so for him to respond with kindness and interest highlight the strength of his character.

  You can tell the insane difference between Eternal and Dark Ages…Mick was the heart of the sound design and i wouldn’t wish on anybody, having to follow up after him
