Love when people check this series out. It is so profoundly clever and profoundly beautiful.

43:00, the mom was being short with the housekeeper because typically talking to someone else’s children about what religion they should be practicing is not appropriate so it was the moms way of saying “stay in your lane, don’t parent my child please.”

The hill house series is so much more then just a scary spooky show. Its very deep and well written and my favorite piece of horror media.

Everybody somehow completely forgets Theo is the first girl you see in the beginning of the show. After Steve comes out to check on Nell because she’s crying Theo asked what’s wrong or something to that effect and he tells her to go back to bed and that he’s got it.

I'm excited for this! I've watched almost 100 reactions to this series, because Mike Flanagan is my favorite director/writer of all time. Hope y'all are ready to cry lol

The mom talking to Mrs. Dudley about Steven's knowledge of religion was just reminding Mrs. Dudley of her place - it's not her job to religiously instruct someone else's kids.

Imagine seeing the bent neck lady as a kid and when you tell you're parents they actually believe you. I think I would never sleep again.

Out of the four, this is the series where the characters felt the most real to me. These actors had fantastic familial chemistry, they really felt like siblings... Which is what made the gut punches all the more painful

I'm a 45 year old man, a husband, a father of 5, and grandfather of 1. I've been a logger, a trucker, and am currently a helicopter mechanic, I tell you these things to give you context when I say that this show wrecked me. I usually find horror stuff to be somewhere between an adequate distraction, and a disappointment. This is not that. We're here with you ladies.
