i think trained smaller guy vs. untrained body builder is different than trained big guy vs. trained small guy (the latter is what that first study is talking about, no?). i can see why the people you asked said the bruce lee guy would win lol the royce gracie example in the early days i think is prob more akin to the "trained smaller vs. untrained bigger" example, since he had the "secret knowledge"

This is wrong the argument is that a smaller man who is trained can beat a big man who never trained in his life. Of course size matters when two people are trained thats why there is weight classes

“smaller guy was winning because bigger guys didn’t know the technique” almost literally what you said…

Marius isn't a bodybuilder. Dude in the middle doesn't have a dad bod.

I thought from the thumbnail, the video would be about whether a bodybuilder with no training would beat a martial artist.

David had a fucking sling. If that doesn't make you fear for Goliath's life, you don't know what a sling is.

I agree. Between two fighters with same skill set and level of experience, the one with more muscle mass will have a clear advantage

I will say great video. But the question was never if a lighter and the heavier athlete competed and they were of the same skill level would the lighter one win, because we know weight is a massive advantage. The question has always been could a wider untrained person beat a heavier inexperienced person? Or the other question at what point does skill overcome weight? And another thing the study you excited about the heavier Fighters winning more, does it control for variables, such as height and reach differences, experience differences, and in the case of MMA stylistic differences? Overall great video though love the editing and the fact that you went out and interviewed people.

The bodybuilder is a professional MMA fighter, and the 2nd guy does not have a dad bod, he is rather muscular.
