The Wood Pellets You're Smoking With Are Mostly Oak Floor Sweepings (Only 3 Are Real)

A few of you asked in the comments how you're supposed to know what's actually in the bag when the label won't tell you — that's the whole reason the Grill Buyer's Black Book exists. The Brand Report Card lays out who really owns which brands (and which ones are quietly on the kill list), and the Pellet Grill & Smoker Breakdown covers which smokers actually hold temp and deliver real smoke instead of overpriced app gimmicks. It's $19.99, no sponsors, no affiliate links → https://tinyurl.com/grillverdict

Smokin Pecan have been the best pellets I've used. You actually taste the flavor when you use them.

This is wild...I always wondered why all Trager pellet cooks tasted the same, it did not matter what I got all tasted the same. I have now purchased Knotty Wood and Cookin Pellets will try soon. man I feel completed fooled. I will pay more for the real thing

My vertical pellet smoker is only used as a holding oven now.
I strictly use an offset smoker with hickory I buy locally for smoking my foods now.

This is why my pellet grill is sitting collecting dust. Everything I smoke tasted the same and had little smoke flavor. I now have an offset and I know 100% what wood flavor is coming out and I can control how much smoke flavor I want.

I only started smoking meat 4 years ago and tried several brands and woods. I settled on the flavour I got from various Lumberjack pellets and that is the only brand I use now. I now understand why they are better after watching your video.
Most newbies will go with a big name brand expecting good quality which is what I did. Now I know brand name does not equal quality.
