  Have you thought of putting your shoes in shoe bags or even grocery bags? Your clean, beautifully folded clothing is touching dirty shoes. Love everything else about the video, great method in packing smart.

  I never wear flip flops or equivalent for flying. &nbsp;If there is any type of emergency, you can lose those shoes and have to walk on glass. &nbsp;I always wear trainers. &nbsp;For Caribbean cruises especially, they are probably the shoes that will take up the most space in your luggage. &nbsp;I have Global entry so I don&apos;t have to worry about removing my shoes but Sketchers and other brands have nice slip in options.

  I would worry too much about wrinkles. I couldn&apos;t even use one of those shirt folders without taking forever getting every little fold straightened out.

  heard if you stay at a hotel and they have shower caps in the bathroom use them for your shoes, can&apos;t remember why specifically they said that. &nbsp;Oh heard this &nbsp;believe from Alana at Life well Cruising, she has some great easy travel tips. &nbsp; <br>Also suggested was if you don&apos;t want to use a small box wrap necklaces around a comb so they don&apos;t tangle together.<br>I use my backpack for my laptop, bottles of wine for each of us &nbsp;and whatever else then comes in handy for souvenirs we bring home. &nbsp;We generally drive though but still like to keep it light packing, especially since my husband has to take his Cpap. &nbsp;He&apos;s packed a few small things in his bag. &nbsp;If folks are like him and he needs a fan, he uses one with a usb plug and works great if there is a plug by the bed, if not we always have a non surge protector power strip with his Cpap extension cord. &nbsp; Sadly no more Royal cruising because they don&apos;t allow those anymore to be brought.

  For anyone thinking, I can’t do this in two bags, I’ve gone on three cruises with a 26L “personal item” (I had to put it up on one leg on United as the seat had some electrical box under there).<br><br>I’m planning Alaska next, and yep, same bag. &nbsp;<br>I do wash once. Too much linen to send to ship laundry. Minimal make up, I have a chic night outfit including shoes.<br><br>I pick a palette and keep to it each trip.

  Now that I&apos;m Platinum status on NCL, I have a free bag of laundry! &nbsp;I can pack half of what I used to pack, and get clean clothes mid way through the 7-day cruise in April!
