  My 13 yo dachshund mix, Hunter, passed on 6 weeks ago. I’ve been crying every day since, but this post does bring me the warm fuzzies!  Thank you so much! ❤❤❤

Dogs are already wearing fur coats, they don’t feel cold to the same degree humans do. <br><br>People seem to think that the clothes only create a visual effect of cuteness for humans to enjoy, but have no physical effect on the dog. In reality clothes flatten a dog’s fur, making it harder for them to regulate their own body temperature, and they inhibit air flow from keeping the dog cool. <br><br>I wish people would think about what they’re doing, and not just treat dogs like cute dress up dolls. Putting clothes on as a NECESSITY in weather that’s cold <b>FOR THE DOG</b> (not for humans), or when a dog’s own natural coat is damaged by illness or the dog is very old are the only good reasons to put clothes on a dog.
