Gotobed was fairly common in Littleport, near Ely, Cambridgeshire in the 18th and 19th centuries. My wife has Crabb ancestors from here.

I had been told many years ago that the Wagstaff, Shakespeare, etc., were men that waved or shook their male members! Straight from a rural policeman in Australia with one of the names.
