  it's nice to see people with enough money to get stuff like that at auction actually sharing it with people passionate and knowledgeable rather that leaving it taking dust on a shelf.

  I was once using Saturn V LEGO model to explain staging to friends, when we watched Apollo 11 documentary. LEGO is doing great job with these spaceflight sets. I truly love them.

  For those interested in the packaging and mechanical design of the LVDC, there&apos;s a damaged board of the thing that passed in hands of Dave (EEVblog), Fran (Franlab), amongst others, and it got (destructively) experimented on.<br>The ceramic &quot;chips&quot; appears to still work perfectly, and there were not soldered but held in place by springy contacts, themselves surface-mounted to the board. IBM took vibration mitigation very seriously on this one. It&apos;s a beautifull piece of engineering, indeed very different in spirit and construction from the AGC.

  Along side the operational amplifier, core memory never ceases to amaze me. &nbsp;Only because it looks trippy, is probably meticulously hand wound, and it just works. &nbsp;You look at something like that and wouldn’t think that that equipment had the capability of bringing us and stuff into outer space.<br><br>Thanks so much for sharing this stuff to all of us!<br><br>You guys got voyager hardware lol

  Even though 90% of the explanation is over my head, I feel like I can appreciate these objects purely in terms of aesthetics and craft. They are stunning.
