Jaden will always be my favourite character of all time and my favourite protagonist. His character development is by far one of the best things in the show

This list just shows one thing... how horrendously botched most of Jaden's initial group of friends were handled. I love the transfer students but damn did Syrus, Bastion, Alexis and Tyrano were done dirty

Really nice list and some surprising picks. I’m happy to see Crowler gain some love as I too think he’s an underrated GX character and has really good development into becoming a better teacher and someone who cares for their students as shown in his duels with Camula and Bonaparte.
Amon is brilliant. Despite being one of the most hated characters in the series, he’s one of the most complex and interesting characters in GX with his twisted relationship with Echo and him wanting to build a world free of suffering despite his awful actions makes you really engage in his story.
I agree with you on O’Brian. He’s criminally underrated and deserves so much praise for his role in S3 and 4. I love his growing friendship with Jaden and we see that expand in S4 and his duel with Trueman is brilliant.
Yubel is my number 1 pick but Jaden would either be 2nd or 3rd. They’re such a fantastic villain with brilliant twisted themes on love and I’m sad we didn’t get to see more of them and Jaden together in S4.
Saio is a good character and decent villain and Amneal/Banner is cool too and their dynamic with Jaden are great in their own unique way especially with Amneal IMO.

One of the reasons GX really struggled to carry the hype of the original series is this right here. The lack of significant, memorable characters
