💬 What’s YOUR memory of modules B1, B2, or B3?

Did you play them back in the day — or discover them later? Any wild stories? I’d love to hear about them, and perhaps even share some of them in a future video.

I will be covering the rest of the B-series most likely in three additional videos (B4-6, B7-9, and B10-12 + BSOLO). As most of these don't feature the "drama" (corporate politics) found in B1-3, I may slightly shift the focus to chat about tips/ideas for running them. Let me know if that's of interest!

Whelp. I guess I don't need to film that Palace of the Silver Princess explanation video. Well done, sir. Well done.

AC1 The Shady Dragon Inn is important enough to talk about in itself. The NPCs introduced there are significant in D&D lore.

I was 12. It was 1979. My older brother was DM and I will never forget the Magic Mouths at the entrance to Zelligar and Rogahn's hideout, they were my introduction to the wonder of D n D. I still have my 1st edition, 1st printing DM's guide.

Thank you for your wonderfull work preparing and making these videos. It shows not just your love for TTRPG but also all the work and love for the game the designers had when made it. I am a brazilian who loves to play and make my own TTRPG and I am enchanted by your content.

Shady dragon inn is fun, I used the characters in there for hireling adventurers at the tavern my group started in. They all have a paragraph of simple lore and personality quirks. One was magic user that we were all joking was probably going to betray the party, only for him to abruptly die during a fight with a dragon. Good times

I never knew nostalgia could be painful. Oh, my god, the memories: friendships, sleepovers, pizza-pizza-paizza. It's too much.

I honestly think the modules that best teaches new DM’s how to become a DM is B3, Palace of the Silver Princess. With its “choose your own adventure intro” it is the best imo.

Oh boy, two whole hours of Daddy! Thank you so much for this. I found your channel a couple weeks ago and have been catching up with your back catalog and loving everything. I got started with D&D when I inherited my half-brothers 1E AD&D stuff, so I missed the very early stuff, but it's been a big part of my life since. It's nice to have such detailed history of the Very Early Days, and the more I can get the better.

Consider this an aggregate thanks for the many hours of enjoyment I've already gotten from your videos. And if it helps you get new editing software that will give us some 2+ hour SUPER deep dives, consider me all in!

Thanks again, keep it up!

Martin's Ethos: "Some people will say the video starts at 13 minutes, I don't see it that way..." PERFECT!
