  So many Reactors comment on the opening reference to the year 2029, thinking it&apos;s only 4 years away. But this movie came out in 1984! We who lived through the 80&apos;s could not imagine something like the internet, or a super computer taking over the world, or a nuclear war in 1997 and machines hunting down humanity . It was as foreign to us as content creators begging for subscribers and getting paid to offer their opinion on things we lived through.

  OJ Simpson was briefly considered for the role of the terminator, but Cameron said no because he didn&apos;t think OJ could be a convincing killer.

  That moment when the Terminator is impersonating Sarah&apos;s mom, and he finishes the phone call by saying, in the mom&apos;s voice: &quot;I love you too, sweetheart.&quot; &nbsp;I feel like that moment should get more respect! &nbsp;That is SO CHILLING. &nbsp;I mean, MAN. &nbsp;To say &quot;I love you&quot; in the voice of a woman you have just brutally killed, to the woman&apos;s daughter, just so the daughter wouldn&apos;t think anything was wrong and would not flee in panic... that is some cold, cold, cold bleep, right there.

  I actually much prefer the first movie over the second. While the second is a very fun action movie, I really enjoyed the sci-fi/horror vibe of the first one. Similar to what happened with Alien, the first is sci-fi/horror, followed by a full-out action extravaganza.
