  In a college fine arts class, I had the assignment of painting a still life of some red apples. I started painting them red of course. My art professor, who was a master printmaker, told me--&quot;use some blue in that apple&quot; It was the best advice I got--because there was plenty of blue in that red apple, of course. I&apos;m a full time photographer these days, but that lesson carried over to how I see color in natural scenes that I photograph, and how colors compliment and work with each other.

  This has helped me so much, I have been practicing mixing colours for a while, when I was a child my father would take me to the museum to see all the old masters, wow I was mesmerised , and to this day I see them, I knew then that the colours were mixed in a way that, everything &nbsp;looked so real to life, really enjoying your help, ❤
