I am quickly approaching the old fart age of 75, will be there in May. I have been tinkering with electronics since I was a kid in the 60s and my uncle came home from the Army and gave me the little transistor radio he got to listen to while overseas. That was in 62 so it was a relatively new innovation and I was the only kid on the block to have one. In the US Army, I went into commo and worked with first telephones, then radios, then radio teletype and so on till I got to be a commo chief. When I got out I went to the PD but my interests stayed with the gadget side and when I could afford one I got a PC, then another then other forms of computers and it went on. So I do understand a lot about the transistor and the tubes side as well, but I have to say, your teaching has given me more AH! moments then all the courses I took in the Army and the college courses I took later as well. Thanks for reviving my interest in transistors and such, it helps with my projects that I do to keep active. For Example I am in the process of rebuilding a Zenith Trans Oceanic tube set now.

Hi Bob, I enjoy your explanations, very in depth. I'd like to hear an comparison of NPN and PNP transistors, how and why they are different and how they are used.

Bob you are an excellent teacher! I've been trying to brush up on my electronics engineering theory by reading 'Art of Electronics'. Your videos always help to clarify certain concepts I don't always get the first time in the book. Thanks!

Yep, his old channel appears gone. That's a bad sign. High probability of this channel disappearing at some point too unless the underlying issue with YT was resolved. He should upload to other video services too for redundancy. Risky relying on YT alone these days. Sad, because his content is very good and educational.
