Awesome! Makes me less afraid of drawing buildings & city scenes.

OK. Here's a challenge? How do you approach drawing science fiction type stuff like futuristic or alien buildings, high technology, or space stations?

Fantastic breakdown and tips as usual. Some absolute gold in this because let's face it, we'd all much rather draw the cool characters than the backgrounds but without the backgrounds we have no context for the action. The Google street view tip was worth the watch alone. As an aside, I've heard more than one story of editors reviewing portfolios with vague boredom at the carefully rendered figure poses but their eyes light up when they see a well-rendered environment or cityscape with solid perspective.

Nice tips in this video! I always loved how grungy and filthy the alleyways in Spawn looked, McFarlane was always good at that.
The window spacing trick at 7:56 is one I'll have to incorporate into my technique.
RE Bricks: I made a template for bricks that I'd drop into the panel, adjust the perspective on it with the Transform tool, then use the template lines as guides to draw in bricks. Saved me a TON of headache. I did the same thing with cobblestones for the streets, as well.
Random "roughing" texture is something I use liberally on surfaces that don't have bricks. Almost to a fault, if I'm behind honest.
