I had an aggressive hive that killed the queen I put in, after being queenless for several days. Repeated with a queen in a queen cage AND splitting. Cutting the numbers back took a little oomph out of their attitude. :)And I love my tactacam gloves!

I have 25 hives in one year that were all that mean. This spring early I ordered 4 good gentle queens and put them in hives. Two were rejected. I added drone comb to the two hives with the good gentle queens and started destroying all of the drone cells in the mean hives when those bad queens started laying up some drone cells. After i had good drones I started raising lot of good queens and killing off the mean ones and replaced them. Now that yard of bees are as meek as a lamb.

I am moving to all med 8 frame setups... I have still two colonies that are in 8 frame deeps still and next spring they will be moved into med and the deep frames put into nucs to sell or swarm traps. Just need to get rid of them. LOL

A mi l me encanta la abeja apis iberica una de las mejores del mundo . la unica pega es que puede ser defensiva si las tratas bruscamente ,pero si sabes su comportamiento enjambran poco digan lo que digan, pero ni por asomo a estas abejas madre mia la colmena que yo llamo la mala no es ni una decima parte de agresiva
