Beekeeping | Can You Save a Honey Bee Colony This Weak In August?

Beekeeping can make you want to pull your hair out! This honey bee colony was doing great, and then suddenly everything started going wrong. It was failing fast, and without some help, I didn’t think it was going to survive. One of the most important skills in beekeeping is learning how to recognize a colony that is going downhill BEFORE it’s too late. A weak population, queen problems, lack of brood, pests, disease, or simply bad timing can quickly turn a struggling hive into a dead hive. I’ll walk you through what I saw, how I evaluated the colony, and the steps I took to give these bees another chance. 🐝 Can every failing hive be saved?
