Industrial Design Engineer here. Type III hard coat anodized with PTFE impregnation on those aluminum parts and it would be bulletproof in any environment.

I am from Brazil and I live in the middle of the country. And I use a lot of blocks to do heavy lifting. I really loved your invention and the fact that you made it open source is absolutely amazing.
