  Thank you for putting my nteenth BX on the Dyno. I think you got the "benefit" of some injector cleaner I'd been putting through it. Previously serious clag only seen when putting the foot down accelerating hard out of an A34 layby into traffic. Since rev counting service restored, it's been spending more time at or above 2000rpm - the way to drive one of these cars.

  I guess the dip in the last test was the hydraulic pump kicking in

  That dip on the last run I think was the compressor raising the suspension sapping a few horses. I'm no expert but I've driven more than a few BX's, and that's what I'm going with. Excellent Mexican tune up too, worked a treat.

  Oh the memories. Had a couple of turbo BXs and a 306 D Turbo. Such a narrow power band. Wait for it, wait for it, FUN, oh it's over.

  My first BX was a red BX 16 TZi Tecnic limousine (1990), followed by a dark blue BX TZD Turbo limousine (1991). The torque of the turbo diesel was great. I loved it. :) Its great to hear the BX turbo diesel sound again. :) Thank you!

  Fantastic cars, my friend and colleague got one of these brand new in the late 1980s, it had over 550.000 kms at the end of its life. He said it pulled really well, but he broke it in really good as well.

  My 2.0l petrol did 25 average on my trip to work. My 405 1.9 TD did 38 mpg average on my trip to work.<br>The 405 1.9 TD did 530 miles on a tank with the AC off and 495 miles with AC on.

  Peugeots and Citroens of that era were my favourite cars. I had a ZX 1.9td and my friends xr3i couldn’t keep up including the handling

  We had a 405 with the 1.8TD, great engine. When we bought it, someone had obviously been messing with the pump, because it could shift, but the cloud it made would put James Bond to shame. Had it serviced and lost it&apos;s &quot;punch&quot;. We didn&apos;t know anything about Peugeot pumps at the time, I wish we did, loved that car.
