I'll never forget seeing this movie in the theater with a friend of mine the day after he had all his wisdom teeth out and him tearing his stitches and bleeding all over the place because he was laughing so hard at the movie.

Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg wrote this script when they were in 9th grade. Hence the characters named Seth and Evan. They rewrote it over the years but the majority of the script was written when they were in high school

Seeing this in theaters, packed with people, was a peak theatrical experience. It sucks that comedy in theaters isn’t really a thing anymore.

I love that in a lot of the scenes with Seth and Mclovin, Jonah Hill is ACTUALLY frustrated. One of the main reasons they picked Chris Mintz-Plasse, even though it was his first role, is because the way he responded ACTUALLY pissed Jonah off in real life. So there is a lot of real frustration in scenes between them. lmao.

Funny thing is, they cast Christopher Mintz-Plasse as McLovin because Jonah Hill didn't like him to make his dislike of him in the movie more believable.

Jonah Hill actually hated Christopher Mintz-Plasse in real life. He told them not to hire him because he was upstaging Jonah in the auditions.
