As usual, your timing is impeccable! My 3rd "real" single releases Friday. Every release has done a little better, and every time I get a better understanding of my audience (which helps make the next release more successful). As you've pointed out many times, this is a process!

Personally as an independent artist, I would recommend Tuesday - Thursday for the release date! There are some Spotify playlists that rotate on a Tuesday - Thursday. Also, you can avoid the heavy competition on Friday. Some of your friends or competitors in your region maybe releasing on Friday. Also, like Damian said, Friday is a terrible day to release music.
