Both Japan and Korea have good and bad sides, and it depends on the person which country is suitable.

I agree with Korean people being more personal with you versus Japanese people when something happens to you. Of course, this might not be all koreans but I had an experience when I had broke down crying randomly (broke up with bf earlier that day) at a doctor&apos;s office and all the nurses were so kind to me and the doctor was super patient/compassionate with me. One of the nurses gave me tangerines when I told them it was due to a breakup and all the staff was telling me &quot;fighting&quot; and trying to be encouraging. In Japan, I didn&apos;t feel they would&apos;ve gone that far for me.

We lived in Japan for years when we were younger, now our son lives and works in Tokyo. Visited him for three months and decided to check out South Korea. I can&apos;t explain the instant relief we felt. Didn&apos;t feel like we were constantly walking on egg shells. People talked and laughed on the trains. You could buy food on the street and eat it on the street. The people didn&apos;t feel so judgy and pissy.<br>Still love Japan but maybe it&apos;s time to give some love (and learn more about) Korea. 🙌🏼🙏🏻❤️

unlike some youtubers who spur competition or bias towards a country takashi is very diplomatic and balanced in these sensitive korea japan related videos.

What I have learned from this video is if you are an introvert go to Japan, if you are extrovert go to Korea 😅

I’d I had to live in Asia I’d choose Korea. There are a ton of expat Koreans here in rural Alaska. I’m familiar with them

As someone from Seoul who has been living and working in Tokyo for more than 5years, it is true that Koreans are more expressive, extroverted and willing to help stranger voluntarily and it includes of course sometimes being nosy. Korean old people being too short tempered is also true. I think if you are an introverted or anxious person Japan will suit you better, but if you enjoy making genuine human connections Korea will be better. And in both countries you definitely need to speak the language.

I think Korea is winner for Public transportation. If you have just one transportation card, you can take any metro or bus all the country. But, in Japan, each regions require each transportation card. And it cost almost triple to quadruple than Korea.
