  Buy four cans of fuel, put one in the car/truck each month and replace with fresh fuel. This way you always have generator fuel with 4 months of storage, and there is enough fuel to power your emergency escape if needed.

  Honda EU3000isA (Oct 2007) 3.0kVA maximum power, 2.8kVA Rated power (continuous operation). Hope this helps , run my Generator monthly 30min-60min. Always starts right up!

  Firman Gasoline: 7500W running / 9400W starting<br><br>Knowing what I know now - I would definitely go with a smaller inverter dual fuel generator paired with a 3000 - 4000 watt power station - and add extra batteries (my bigger “gas”tank) as necessary - along with 1000 - 2000 wats of solar panels.

  For a gas generator, I bought a Winco Lil Dog. 2400/3000 watts. I only used it in January a couple times. So, I expanded my solar panels to 3000 watts from1600 w, and upgraded my lithium batteries from 12 to 20. 1000 amp hours. <br>Theyre 12.8 v 100 aH in 25.6 v hookup to run my Aims Power 2000watts low frequency pure sine wave inverter. I&apos;ve been off grid 6 years. My plan is to upgrade to 24 batteries, 1200 amp hours, pretty soon. My goal this year is to not have to use the gas generator except for my welder. I&apos;m using two 40 amp MPPT controllers from Epic Solar. <br>I&apos;m running two chest freezers and a window air conditoner today, its 101° here.

  The Wen 3600w dualfuel kept running for around 3.5 hrs on 1 gal gas ful load 120v, with 240v breakers off on Double Wide and grid pedestal disconnected. Also kept Oscal 6000 &nbsp;charging 1800w &nbsp;every 8 hrs 120v for &nbsp;3hr charge cycles over 30 hr test. Lessons : need 6800w generator &nbsp;to give 5000 running watts, for 240v charge with 12gal propane tank for next test. DYI expansion batteries and rigid Ntype Panels hopefully before &nbsp;tariffs for future grid failures or precautionary nesscity.

  based on daily (24 hours) &quot;essential load&quot; - Fridge, freezer, comms, lights of 6 kwh per 24 hrs ---&gt;<br>Honda EU2000i (30 yrs and still chugging) rotate the gas every 3 months and only use / store treated non-ethanol fuel<br>Recent additions (4 years ago) &nbsp;- added (LFP - based) &quot;solar generator&quot; to the mix. This allows 18 hours of overnight silent running.<br>Added 1000 watts of solar panels -- generates 6kwh of solar recharge to the box daily (balanced for midyear sun / use).-- essentials are running off the solar daily, so no waste - LOL operational test daily.

  I have a few questions regarding generator maintenance. How often should I run my generator when it&apos;s not in use? Also, the battery that came with it died quickly, and because I have a bad shoulder, I can no longer use the key start. Could you recommend a reliable generator battery brand , and would you suggest using a trickle charger to maintain the battery?
