As a non-British, I really wish the people of the UK will continue to preserve these Great Houses and estates, as well as their custodians who are living in them.

Of course, the world is changing and will continue to change. But not all evolution and revolution are good - evolution of a virus is something that may end humanity.

Hope i may be able to visit the UK someday.... Sooner, I hope.

The house was well known before the show. Little note as far as I know this was the 2nd time Maggie Smith had filmed at this house.

I’d actually love to live in a place like Downton Abbey. Imagine living in a home with an actual history with a large staff running around and the family walking down for breakfast before going back up to get dressed up then live in a world of splendor in a house of this scale.
