  I’m so happy for Dame Maggie Smith to have died in the most gentle way possible, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at age 89. I’m thankful for all she gave us with her huge talent and fantastic British humour over so many decades. RIP lovely Dame Maggie Smith ❤

  Some Actors can move you to tears. Some can make you laugh and still others are just... pure joy. Maggie Smith was all three and more. She was incredible. Honestly...

  Old ladies with sharp tongues is an entertainment staple going back to ancient times. Putting Maggie Smith in charge of such a delightful character was inspired good fortune.
