They aren’t overrated, no one thinks they are good.

Remember that Chipper “Larry” Jones named his daughter Shea after the Mets old stadium. Officially declaring himself and the Braves their daddy

Only the Mets could owe a player $5.9 million but instead pay him $29,831,205 to not even swing the bat. 😂

The Lindor deal was insane from day one and royally fucked up the market for years to come.

Oh well, as long as Soto gets his $700 million they’ll be okay, right?

This proves that $$$ doesn't necessarily equate to wins or championships. Makes you appreciate what the Dodgers have done to be ultra competitive over multiple years.

I don’t know how you have more money to spend than every other team, the best pure hitter in the sport, a top 3-4 shortstop in the sport, and every FA wanting to sign with you, yet somehow you still can’t even go .500. It’s literally mind boggling levels of ineptitude, and it shows that actually building a team over years and selecting high character men to build around actually matters as much as raw skill and money.
