  When I go to a social thing, I usually try to find a job to do. That&apos;s my force-field. It might be minding the punch bowl, getting the hot things out of the oven, replenishing the veggies. If not, I just feel awkward standing there.

  I never thought I pre-planned interaction until I caught myself doing it unconsciously before leaving my house. Practicing the tone and pacing of phrases like &quot;oh yea no problem&quot;<br>&quot;Hmm yea&quot;<br>&quot;Yea that&apos;s true&quot;<br>Shocked me when i realized haha

  I am a retired old man who is an autistic person and an introvert. I prefer to hide or be alone in my comfort zone. My safe zone is my home. I don&apos;t go to expensive restaurants because I am not wealthy. I dislike it when people touch me or enter my personal space. I will never hug anyone. I also hate loud noises and get easily startled too. This is why I don&apos;t go to the cinemas anymore. &nbsp;I avoid places where there are large crowds. I rarely have visitors other than tradesmen or agents who inspect the unit. I will clip my own hair it saves me a lot of money. I will shop at my regular supermarket or store. and I buy staples because I am on a budget.<br>I can be very direct, bold, and assertive too. Some people will laugh at me as if I made a joke. When I joke about anything people think I am serious.
