Strange stories indeed..yes the food at El Jardin is exceptional..whenever i hear stories i didn't know during my time walking the camino, i find it a good reason to do it again out of curiosity

León has a special place in my heart. In my first Camino I watched an organ concert at the Cathedral. An special gift for a beginner :)

I’ve walked thru Mansila 6 times and never knew about the famous arch. My wife asks how I can be soo unobservant !! Great video thanks - I await each one with anticipation

Nice video, brought back some memories. Though common understanding is that Meseta ends in Leon, my perception is that the Meseta ends in Astorga. It is after Astorga that the landscape starts to change and endless valleys give way to hills and mountains.

Nice informative video, with great insight. It appears the pine cones are of Atlas Cedar or Deodar, while the “buckeye” are horse or sweet chestnut 🌰

They are chestnuts. You have to cook them before eati ng them. My husband cooked some when we were on the camino in 2025.
