I Found “The Way” on the Camino… Literally! | Episode 10

In Episode 10 of my Camino de Santiago adventure, I continue making my way toward León — and along the way I stumble across something I absolutely did NOT expect to see: a mural inspired by The Way, the movie that introduced so many people to the Camino de Santiago. Seeing those familiar pilgrims painted on a wall along the actual Camino was one of those surreal moments where the movie, the trail and my own journey suddenly collided. But this episode is about more than just another day of walking. ❤️ The Camino heals. That's something you hear people say about the Camino, and the farther I walk, the more I understand what they mean. People come to the Camino carrying all kinds of things — questions, loss, transitions, relationships, hopes, disappointments and sometimes simply a desire to figure out what's next. Walking day after day gives you a LOT of time to think. And somewhere between the miles, the conversations, the people you meet and simply putting one foot in front of the other, something can start to change. I spend some time in this episode talking about what “the Camino heals” has come to mean to me as I continue this journey across Spain. And because this is The Geocaching Vlogger, you know I can't make it all the way to León without doing a little geocaching! 😂🛰️ Once I arrive in León, I head out in search of another geocache — and find a pretty unique little container hiding in the city. This episode has a little bit of everything I love about the Camino: Every day on the Camino seems to give me something I wasn't expecting. Sometimes it's a geocache. Sometimes it's a piece of art on the side of a building. And sometimes it's something you discover about yourself. 💛 Buen Camino!
