  Stella liebeck wasn&apos;t driving, her grandson was, they were stationary. The McDonald&apos;s defense attorney said that Stella was liable because she didn&apos;t inhibit appropriate action, which would of been to take off her clothes to stop the burning. The 79 year old at the time was expected to strip Infront of her grandson whilst in a seatbelt within 2 SECONDS.<br><br>That&apos;s how long it would take for the coffee to burn her. <br><br>You should research the topic she was labelled crazy for years and only recently did people start actually realising how unfair she was treated

  Thanks for clearing up the McDonald’s coffee thing. Way too many ppl don’t know the real story behind it. That coffee was basically lava in a cup lol

  Another fun fact about the Stella case. The main reason she got so much money from the lawsuit wasn’t actually because she wanted it. She really just wanted the medical bills covered. The large amount was given so the case could be used as an example against big companies that they will face consequences for stuff like this and it won’t just be a slap on the wrist.

  I appreciate you clearing up the McDonald&apos;s Coffee lawsuit, since I expected it to be on here, but talking about it more negatively. But you missed some key points. She was not by herself, she was with her grandson. Also he was the one driving, not Stella. And when she spilled the coffee, they were in a parking spot, and only THEN did she take the lid off to pour cream and sugar into the coffee. So I can&apos;t really say she was even mildly at fault, because she wasn&apos;t.

  Genuinely glad this doesn&apos;t just repeat the same old lies about the McDonald&apos;s case like I see in a bunch of videos. I really feel sorry for the old woman that this whole case just ended up being an example of &quot;fraud&quot;.

  i changed my mind when i saw stella&apos;s injuries, that looked closer to what a flame thrower would have done than a coffee.
