  The older I get the more I feel Yamcha is my favorite Z fighter. Sacrifices himself for Krillin and stays with Goku while he's sick, he's a real one.

  The guy appeared disfigurated in the 23rd Budokai after not being seen in 3 yeras and nobodoy even asked him what happened. Everybody was like &quot;Goku has grown-up so much!&quot;<br>That&apos;s the moment you should ditch these people, my boy Yamcha.

  Awesome topic, always was fascinated by this point in Dragon Ball history.<br><br>I&apos;d say the Spirit Ball scarring him would be unlikely because it&apos;s round shape would do bludgeoning damage rather than cutting his skin. &nbsp;Ki techniques can have a cutting effect, but they are distinctly intended for that purpose and usually have a flat shape, like Krillin&apos;s Destructo Disk.<br><br>The idea I&apos;d seen most often in fan stories was that Yamcha had a personal enemy from his past who defeated him in battle during the time skip, only for Yamcha to encounter him again much later and easily avenge the injury with his much greater Z era strength. &nbsp;I feel like in any other long running franchise there would be a guidebook or throwaway line in some spinoff story that answers this question, but the lives of the Earthlings are little explored anywhere in DB. &nbsp;It&apos;s bizarre how little we know about characters like Yamcha, Puar, Chiaotzu, Tien, Launch, etc.
