That ending checks out. My mom is way scarier than my dad.

As brief as it was, the authenticity of the brothers’ relationship made this movie great

Actually, the father's behavior is not typical of Predators. Killing one of their own kind is considered the worst crime in their society, save for duels or in self defense, so we can assume this individual was abusing his power, thus violating the Yautja Codex, multiple times in the movie.

51:15 That's why this movie was rated PG-13. None of the deaths in this movie were human deaths. It was all alien creatures and synths.

1:01:29 Dek stabbed his Father’s hand and then chopped his arm off, EXACTLY what his Father did to Kwei 🔥

"Bring it home" is also what Tabe says to Naru in Prey.

It’s so sad that he envied his father so much. Kwei knew how their father was but didn’t wanna break Dek’s heart by telling him the truth.

In the comic there is one Yautja named Shorty who's getting picked on by his peers due to his size, but he's still allowed to do things his peers can do as long as he meets the technical terms. Dek's father is pretty atypical and his hate for Dek is more personal than following the rules.
