It is an early "credit" approval machine. If someone wanted to make a credit purchase at a large retail store, the cashier would call the bookkeeping department and verify that the customer did have a credit account and if the purchase was within their "limit".. If the purchase was OKed by bookkeeping, verification was sent to the machine where the receipt was stamped with the approval code. The store copy of the receipt was stored in the drawer until the end of the day when when it was sent to bookkeeping for posting.

That first piece is an Articulator. I worked as a dental lab tech from 1971 to 2017 and used them every day... all day... to do my work. Made me laugh when I saw it in the video.

Ha, had one of those magnetron things, but just the curve bit. I knew it was too small to be part of an anvil! <br>Happy I recognize the curved part of it!

The first object is a dental articulator used to set up a denture in wax, then finish with acrylic. It is not an antique. My dental lab uses them regularly for current cases. Actually, it could be an antique. Dental labs have just not changed over to newer articulators.
