  The spanner (wrench) through the tyre happened to me! I was driving and suddenly there was a rapid banging noise coming from the rear of the car, I stopped and found a small spanner had gone through the shoulder of the tyre, and the part sticking out was hitting the wheel arch as it rotated! I think it must have been laying on the road and was flipped up by the front tyre to impale the rear tyre?! 😲
